David studied to become an actor at Rhodes University South Africa and graduated with a B.A. (Hons) Drama in 2004 Majoring in acting, mime, theatre studies and physical theatre.
Shortly after graduating David moved to the UK where he got his first gig as a professional actor in a travelling pantomime of Peter Pan. Where having to perform twice a day and up to six days a week, he learnt a lot about his craft as an actor and the dedication and focus required to make it in this profession.
However by the end of 2007 the constant rain of the UK led to him packing his bags and heading home to South Africa, where he cuts his trade as a professional voice over artist and actor. His voice has appeared in numerous radio and tv commercials, corporate videos and more. As an actor he has made appearances on most of the South Africa soapies, the occasional short film and a fair number of commercials.
In 2015 David was nominated for a "Best Newcomer/Breakout Performance" Naledi for his role in I Have Life, Alison’s Journey
He has appeared in Black Sails, and recently had guest appearances in the local shows Sokhulu & Partners (Courtroom drama) and Ses Top La 3(Sitcom).
David specialises in comedy because, as his agent puts it, he has "Funny bones." He is currently making his first attempt at writing a novel, as well as his first comedy series that he intends to star in.
